"The founding fathers had provisions to change the Constitution. They made the Constitution hard to change for a reason, they didn’t want an irrational country to change things without thinking about it. The time it takes to make “amendments” give an irrational country time to figure things out."

Exactly. We should have learned this lesson in 1920 after our idiot Congress passed the Prohibition amendment. Despite how "tough" it was to get an amendment passed, Congress took a frightfully wrong approach to problem solving by creating new problems in the guise of moralizing. The time, money, and effort spent by our government trying to "clean up" one of the most profitable ventures in all history was an embarrassment, and set us back on the road to progress.

It can be argued that the #1 reason for our financial inferiority is because of all the money we feed into perpetuating and expanding the government and its self-sustaining programs.

The founding fathers had provisions to change the Constitution. What Obutthole and others since the 1900s have done is bypass the Constitution, because they want their way now. The Constitution is law. Government must be greater than law, apparently.

I would say the founding fathers had it figured out, because they knew freedom was the engine to prosperity. If you consider the most prosperous (for the time being) country in the world was accomplished in less than 250 years, yes I would have to say the United States is the greatest country in the world (again for the time being).

No other country has come from nothing to a super power in less than 250 years. It was from freedom and prosperity. Some from within our country do not want this. Obutthole is one of them.

Very interesting read Fox !! ... After this , I shall scroll up to your most recent one and check that out as well ...

But just to play Devil's Advocate here ... ( as I agree with much of what you say ... and all those quotes ... ) Who's to say that a group of individuals , largely comprised of European immigration ( The ' Founding Fathers ' ) had it ALL figured out over two centuries ago ?!! ...

As society ' evolves ' ... it becomes more complicated ...

Again ... I agree with you completely with the ' less Federal ' involvement on the people ... but who's to say the individual State can be better equipped to make decisions ? ... Further complicated by people who don't vote , or vote not knowing a rat's ass about anything in the first place ?!!! ( as you have stated here ... )

As for the best country in the world ... that's open for debate as well ...

Glad I popped in tonight !!
