That Damned Constitution!
You lefty losers still don’t get it. Well, I got more shit for you to chew on. When you read the Constitution, you can’t read it with modern language. Because the words have new meanings, you think that it changes the Constitution? That’s your public school education (indoctrination) system, with the help of the lefty teachers unions, that bring you to that dumbass conclusion. That means you’ve never really learned American history. The founding fathers would be laughing their asses off at your ignorance.
You have to look at the language in use at the time to understand the meaning of the Constitution. We’ll look at three of the most misunderstood terms in the Constitution.
1. The first one is “well regulated Militia”.
The Second Amendment.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Now if you were a stupid dumbass, you would think it means a government regulated Militia. No way, no how. When your clock was slow, you took it to a clock smith to re-regulate it. That is, to make it in proper working form. In England today they still ‘regulate’ their watches.
Other definitions include “functioning”, “to make regular”, “to keep in good working order”, and “maintained”.
A militia that practiced on a regular basis would be “well regulated”. Daniel Boone had his own militia. The government never hunted him down to confiscated his guns and cannon.
So what is understood is:
A well maintained Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
2. The second misunderstood term is “regulate Commerce”.
Interstate commerce clause
Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3.
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
Regulate was explained above. Commerce was defined as trade.
The intent was to regulate, or maintain, trade between governing bodies, not private business. This restricts the power of the federal government “To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes.” States, not people, not businesses… STATES.
The Commerce clause was intended to promote trade between the states. The states can not erect trade barriers between one another. Regulate, this time, meant to maintain, not restrict, which is the way the Federal government reads it today. Today government thinks “commerce” includes all gainful economic activities. Hence Congress thinks it has a license to regulate the entire economy.
So what is understood is:
To maintain trade with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
3. The misunderstood term was “general welfare”.
Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1.
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
Government points to “general welfare” to account for your unlimited power they think they posses. “General welfare” did not mean the welfare of the people. It meant:
Exemption from misfortune, sickness, calamity or evil; the enjoyment of health and the common blessings of life; prosperity; happiness; applied to persons, exemption from any unusual evil or calamity; the enjoyment of peace and prosperity, or the ordinary blessings of society and civil government as it applies to states.
Welfare did not have the same meaning as it does today. In the Constitution the word “welfare” is used in the context of states and not the citizens.
Do you really believe the United States could afford to provide for welfare of the people (welfare as defined today, and not as defined when the Constitution was written)? The public school indoctrination took for you. You truly are a imbecile.
What is understood is”
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Prosperity of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
The Constitution is designed to “LIMIT” government, not man. It was FDR that brought about the atrocities we have today and twisted the Constitution into the blank check that was used to carry out the New Deal.
I find two types of liberal morons. 1) You have been indoctrinated and have a belief system that is so ingrained, I can show the truth, but your to stupid to believe it, and b) Your a Socialist/Communist piece of shit and your intentionally bastardizing the Constitution. Your a Commie bastitch or you were taught/indoctrinated by a Commie bastitch.
If you really knew American history, you would know that the founding fathers were for small, limited government. Listen to our founding fathers. They wrote the Constitution.
“Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government.” –James Madison
“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.” –Patrick Henry

s, but an indefinite one….” — James Madison
“Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated.” — Thomas Jefferson
“If Congress can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and will promote the general welfare, the government is no longer a limited one possessing enumerated powers, but an indefinite one subject to particular exceptions.” — James Madison
“I see,… and with the deepest affliction, the rapid strides with which the federal branch of our government is advancing towards the usurpation of all the rights reserved to the States, and the consolidation in itself of all powers, foreign and domestic; and that, too, by constructions which, if legitimate, leave no limits to their power… It is but too evident that the three ruling branches of the Federal government are in combination to strip their colleagues, the State authorities, of the powers reserved by them, and to exercise themselves all functions foreign and domestic.” — Thomas Jefferson
“The Constitution shall never be construed… to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.” — Samuel Adams
“The greatest calamity which could befall us would be submission to a government of unlimited powers.” — Thomas Jefferson

“Those who would give up essential Liberty to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” — Ben Franklin
“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.” — James Madison
“Whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void, and of no force.” — Thomas Jefferson
“The powers of the federal government are enumerated; it can only operate in certain cases; it has legislative powers on defined and limited objects, beyond which it cannot extend its jurisdiction.” — James Madison
“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!” — Benjamin Franklin
