Just thought I’d like to point out that every president ( and Prime Minister , for that matter ) has a political machine behind them comprised of non elected advisers and influential business leaders that hold just as much power as the figurehead President/Prime Minister.

They control so much of the economy , they have the overwhelmed leader’s ear …

Just as Dubya had people on one side saying ‘ diplomacy ‘ and the other side saying ‘ aggression ‘ … I’d say , with the aid of his old man’s experience , Jr. chose the latter …

The Barrackstar had two choices … let a rather large portion of the economy swirl into oblivion down the loo or force the rest of the country to mortgage it’s future to allow the game to continue …

Not much of a choice , either way … but he wanted the job …
