Change we can believe in

posted in Change |

Since the anointment, our savior has said he wants to promote bipartisanship. President Obama (says he) wants to take the politics out of the stimulus package. The pretense is that he wants Republican input to the stimulus package and has held several meetings with Republicans leaders for this purpose, but when Republicans ask to see more tax breaks, his reply is “I won” (Barack Obama – 1/23/09).

Bipartisanship is a RINO going with Democratic policies. It’s bipartisan if 3 Republican Senators go with the stimulus package. But when 11 Democratic Congressmen vote with Republicans in the house version of the bill, it’s party line, polarizing, and being political.

When Bush talked about how bad the economy was in his early days, he was “talking the economy down”. Will Obama gets a pass? We’ll see… Tonight’s news conference will be to scare the sheep, and stop the phone calls in opposition to the bill that have been flooding Senators phones all day today.

If we are to listen to Hillary Clinton during the Bush Presidency, it’s patriotic to descent. Hmmm… only, I guess, when a Republican is President. When a Republican descents against the stimulus bill (or Obama’s Socialist bill), it’s standing in the way, obstructing. This isn’t change. It politics as usual.
